🍐 Baked Pears with Berries, Honey, Walnuts & Blue Cheese

A sophisticated blend of sweet, tangy, and earthy flavors, this baked pear dish is a show-stopping appetizer or dessert.

Ingredients

4 ripe pears, halved and cored

1 tablespoon of butter, melted

1/2 cup of mixed fresh berries (such as blueberries, raspberries, or blackberries)

1/2 cup of walnuts, roughly chopped

1/4 cup of crumbled blue cheese

2 tablespoons of honey

Fresh thyme sprigs (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven:

Set your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.

Prepare the Pears:

Arrange the halved and cored pears, cut-side up, on the prepared baking sheet. Brush the exposed surfaces with melted butter to ensure a golden, caramelized finish as they bake.

Bake the Pears:

Bake in the preheated oven for 15–20 minutes, or until the pears are tender but still firm enough to hold their shape. Remove them from the oven and let them cool slightly.

Add the Toppings:

Top with Berries & Blue Cheese: Distribute the mixed berries over the pears, then sprinkle crumbled blue cheese on top. The residual warmth of the pears will soften the cheese slightly.

Add Walnuts & Honey: Sprinkle the chopped walnuts over the pears and drizzle honey generously for sweetness and crunch.

Serve and Garnish:

If desired, garnish each pear with a sprig of fresh thyme for an earthy, herbal note. Serve warm or at room temperature.
