πŸ”₯ The β€œSwicy” Gochujang Maple Feta Bomb 🧊

IngrΓ©dients

For the Caramelized Feta

1 block feta cheese (150–200 g), preferably firm

1 tsp cornstarch (for dusting)

1 tbsp olive oil

Swicy Glaze

1½ tbsp gochujang (Korean chili paste) 🌢

2 tbsp pure maple syrup 🍁

1 tsp rice vinegar or apple cider vinegar

Β½ tbsp unsalted butter

Pinch of chili flakes (optional)

To Finish

Toasted sesame seeds

Chopped chives or green onions

Crusty bread or crackers, for serving

Instructions

The feta turns crispy and golden on the outside, soft on the insideβ€”then coated in a bubbling, lacquered glaze that clings like molten candy with a spicy punch.

🧊 Pat dry feta: Remove excess moisture from the feta block and lightly dust all sides with cornstarch.

πŸ”₯ Sear the cheese: Heat olive oil in a nonstick or cast-iron pan over medium-high heat. Sear the feta for 2–3 minutes per side until deep golden and crisp. Gently flip with a spatula.

🍯 Add glaze: Reduce heat to medium-low. Add gochujang, maple syrup, vinegar, and butter directly to the pan.

πŸ₯„ Bubble it up: Let the glaze bubble around the feta, spooning it over as it thickens and caramelizesβ€”about 2–3 minutes.

✨ Finish & serve: Carefully remove the glazed feta to a plate. Sprinkle with sesame seeds and fresh herbs.

πŸ₯– Serve hot: Best enjoyed immediately with warm flatbread or crusty baguette to soak up every drop.
