Instructions
The feta turns crispy and golden on the outside, soft on the insideβthen coated in a bubbling, lacquered glaze that clings like molten candy with a spicy punch.
π§ Pat dry feta: Remove excess moisture from the feta block and lightly dust all sides with cornstarch.
π₯ Sear the cheese: Heat olive oil in a nonstick or cast-iron pan over medium-high heat. Sear the feta for 2β3 minutes per side until deep golden and crisp. Gently flip with a spatula.
π― Add glaze: Reduce heat to medium-low. Add gochujang, maple syrup, vinegar, and butter directly to the pan.
π₯ Bubble it up: Let the glaze bubble around the feta, spooning it over as it thickens and caramelizesβabout 2β3 minutes.
β¨ Finish & serve: Carefully remove the glazed feta to a plate. Sprinkle with sesame seeds and fresh herbs.
π₯ Serve hot: Best enjoyed immediately with warm flatbread or crusty baguette to soak up every drop.
