Instructions
1. **Prepare the Dough:**
– In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and nutmeg.
– In another bowl, mix the milk, eggs, melted butter, and vanilla extract.
– Combine the wet ingredients with the dry ingredients until just mixed. Do not overmix.
2. **Shape the Donuts:**
– Turn the dough onto a lightly floured surface and roll it out to about 1/2 inch thick.
– Use a donut cutter or two round cookie cutters to cut out donut shapes.
